A lot going on – above and below

When we examined the constellations for 2025 at the beginning of January, there was a lot to discuss and explore, as some striking planetary constellations will occur in the sky, especially in the first few months of the new year. I would like to briefly mention some of the points in time mentioned in the lecture and compare them with events that have occurred since then. And there have been quite a few of those.

The beginning of the year is under the sign of a retrograde Mars, which was in the sign of its fall, Cancer, until 21 January and will not turn direct again until 24 February. It already formed an opposition (the second) with Pluto opposite in Capricorn on 3 January, and this opposition will be repeated again at the end of April. Since Pluto stands for power issues as well as for change and mass events, major upheavals were and are to be expected here worldwide, which, with the involvement of Mars, may and will be rather rough and brutal. Trump’s new reign and the upheavals that go with it on many levels are under this signature. It fits very well into the picture that Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and owner of Meta, a man whose social media has an enormous influence on the formation of opinion worldwide, literally submits to him.

When the 16th of January the Sun-Mars opposition was due, Mars was in its closest position to Earth during the entire retrograde cycle, the ceasefire between Israel and the Hamaz was negotiated. To be honest, I didn’t expect much from this agreement and I am quite surprised that it has lasted so long and has made possible some humanitarian aid in Gaza and the release of some hostages and prisoners. However, I still have my reservations and am sceptical about further developments. It is possible that activities are taking place behind the scenes (on both sides) for which the short-term ceasefire is helpful. I would very much like to see a lasting peace for all concerned, but it would not fit with the current quality of time.

On 21 January, the Sun came into conjunction with Pluto, which is actually a meeting that recurs every year. I would not attach too much importance to it if the atmosphere were not already enormously charged by these difficult-to-understand, combative and truly brutal energies. The knife attack on 22 January has led to a new escalation of hostility towards foreigners in Germany, which Friedrich Merz wanted to use for himself. It is incredibly sad to imagine that a two-year-old child lost his life in this act and, together with the Christmas market attack, has once again stirred up hostility towards foreigners. On January 23, Mercury was exactly opposite Mars, Ketu activated the September 21 eclipse point 24, and on the 24th Mercury entered Capricorn, where it met Pluto on January 29, right on time. I find this synchronisation between the incredible upheavals in the German Bundestag and the power-laden constellations in the sky truly awe-inspiring. The fact that the new moon also fell on this day makes everything even more relevant. As I was preparing the lecture at the beginning of January, I noticed that this new moon of 29 January opened the lunar month of the election in Germany and pointed out that this new moon would have great significance for the election on 23 February.

On 30 January, Uranus went retrograde and thus gained greater influence. Uranus is the planet of freedom, fraternity and equality, exactly the energy we needed most at that time.

When I look at the constellations in February and see that Mars will be stationary at the time of the election and Rahu will be almost conjunct Neptune, it becomes clear to me that this election is not only incredibly difficult to predict and will certainly hold an enormous surprise, but that it will also be a kind of signpost for the direction in which our country will develop. I hope in the free-thinking and humanitarian and I know that every path taken will be an indication of the degree of maturity of our collective consciousness. That is why it makes more sense to start right here than to fall into a state of fear or even to wish for a return to ‘safe’ conditions.
